NEP 2020

Indian education has got very good at saying the word “AI”. It’s less good at doing anything meaningful with it. On paper, the country looks impressively prepared: NEP 2020 puts emerging technology at the centre of access, quality and equity, “AI for All” promises inclusive growth, and the IndiaAI Mission is funding school, skills and research. Yet in most classrooms and campuses, AI is still a textbook chapter, a short skill module or a breathless webinar. The real gap isn’t technology; it’s whether policies, funding logic, educators and employers are willing to pull in the same direction for long enough to change how people actually learn and work.
